Nate was helping direct the movers. From Instagram; I’m @Amys_SSGF.
We moved last week. I knew it would turn our lives upside down for a while. We’re still getting settled. I’m learning a new area, finding new activities for Nate, meeting new people, and learning the layout of our new home. And, yep, I’m still unpacking boxes!
I spent 30 minutes searching the internet and finally figured out that the tiny little town we moved to doesn’t have a public library. Once I got over the shock, I found story time at the library one town over. It’s only a 10 minute drive. And, they’ll let me get a library card because we’re in the same county. Taking Nate to story time is a great learning experience for Nate and I want to make sure I pack in as much of those activities as possible.
All of that being said, I LOVE our new home and our neighborhood. It’s 5 minutes from Joe’s office so he’s been able to come home for lunch several times a week. There are tons of kids and our neighbors are lovely. The school district is incredible and, when the time comes, we can walk Nate to school. There’s a brand new neighborhood school that’s a 10 minute walk away.
We’ve been dreaming up ways to gussy up Nate’s play room. I’ve got some neat ideas to share below.
I haven’t had much time for cooking. Yet. I’ve been making dinner but would LOVE to start baking in my new ovens. I have two. Heaven, right?
