It’s another day full of fabulous food made healthier at Slightly Indulgent Tuesday! It’s my hope to help people see that they can eat healthier – and it doesn’t have to be perfectly healthy. (Is there such a thing?) Any move toward healthier food is good thing. Progress, not perfection, is what matters.
Last week we had so many fantastic, healthier submissions – I found myself wishing we could all get together and cook. But, for now, we’ll just have to share recipes. If you love scones with your tea or coffee, these Cinnamon Scones would be a delight. Or maybe a vegan, flourless chocolate chip cookie would hit the spot. I am always on the look-out for a new way to make delicious main dishes, so this jerk seasoning recipe went on my to-make list.
My submission:
If you haven’t seen how I transformed our dinner leftovers into a healthy and delicious Chicken & Butternut Squash Spinach Salad, then stop by check it out. I’d love to hear about how you transform your leftovers, too.
Reminders:
This Thursday is Holiday Food Fest hosted by the brilliant Shirley at Gluten-Free Easily. Link you your holiday dishes – main dishes, sides – almost anything goes. She’ll be giving away a bottle of organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions.
If you haven’t stopped by and seen last week’s Holiday Food Fest entries, take a couple of minutes to do so. You can still leave a comment to be entered to win one of two fabulous prizes – a 5 pound bag of Honeyville’s Almond Flour or a Honeyville gift assortment of flax seed, gourmet cocoa, and freeze dried apples.
I have a guest post on Gingered Sweet Potatoes at The Nourishing Gourmet today. This is a favorite of ours – stop by and let me know what you think about it.
I can’t wait to see all of your healthier recipes this week. When you link, please tell us who you are and what you’re cooking . For example, I would enter:
Amy @ Simply Sugar & Gluten Free – (Chicken & Butternut Squash Spinach Salad)
