Welcome back! As always, I’m excited to see what you’ve been working on in your kitchen over the last 7 days. My kitchen has been relatively quiet because my stomach has been giving me fits. I’m hoping that a few more days of bland food will calm my belly down. If you have any great tummy soothing tips, I’d love to hear them.
Last Week’s Healthier Highlights
Try gluten-free, sugar-free granola bars packed with nutrient-rich ingredients or Morning Glory Muffins for a healthier breakfast or mid-day snack. Or, if it’s so darn hot that you don’t want to leave the comfort of air conditioning, whip up a batch of creme brulee ice cream or creamy probiotic popsicles with bananas.
My Submission
Last week I posted a Zucchini & Brown Rice Gratin & yesterday I posted my favorite pesto recipe. I keep extra pesto in my freezer so it’s at my fingertips all year long.
Sears Chef Challenge Induction Cooker Winner…
Congrats to commenter #29, Ellen, a reader! (And THANK YOU for letting me know that there was a problem with my e-mail subscription link!! It’s fixed.)
If you haven’t been by the Sears Chef Challenge page, please hop on by and read about their “Home Cooks” contest. Winning would mean great exposure for your blog – and if you’re not a blogger it would still be tons of fun. Who wouldn’t love a free trip for two to Chicago?

I hate deleting links but some get deleted every week.
