The mocha frappe looks delicious! As for the carrot...I sneak carrots into many thing...I shred them in the food process then add to bbq sauce, spaghetti sauce, brown rice and nearly all casseroles. But I never thought about blended drinks...might even work for breakfast smoothies.

It takes a village for sure! :)

@Poor Taste, Other people had the same reaction to the carrot. There's no logical reason for it to be there except for the fact that you get some added nutrition and you can't taste it at all. If I hadn't tried it myself, I would have thought it was bizarre, too.

I've been Gfree sugar free for a month. I’m vit D deficient and anemic.

I believe the vit d deficiency is from the celiac villi not absorbing. I received an iron ifusion last week and feel better also 50,000 uits Vt D 2x week. I plan on sitting in the sun as soon as it comes out.

So glad to find your site. Not many people have this many health in common.

I've never made yoguart but ready to start now. Thanks.

If you are taking Vitamin D, make sure you are taking Vitamin D3. I appreciated your post about low Vitamin D levels. About a year ago, my Vitamin D level was at 30. My doctor recommended I start taking 10,000 IU of D3 per day. Last month, I was retested and am finally up to 76. I can tell an improvement in my mood and body aches.

With all the hype about Vitamin D lately, I wanted to point out to everyone that there are 2 different Vitamin D supplements being recommended or prescribed by doctors. If you are taking Vitamin D, make sure you are taking Vitamin D3. Vitamin D2, which is synthetic and patentable, is available by prescription in pharmacies. The other, Vitamin D3, is natural and more readily absorbed by the body. Studies show that Vitamin D3 is absorbed 10 times better than D2. Since it is natural, it is available at health food stores or online at iherb.
