Welcome back to Slightly Indulgent Tuesday – last week we had nearly 70 healthier recipes including gluten-free, vegan, whole grain, grain-free, dairy-free, and so many hearty, healthy meal ideas.
Healthier Highlights
Since the meal ideas were plentiful and yummy last week, I thought I’d highlight some of my favorites:
- Turkey with Cumin from My Healthy Eating Habits
- Turkey Breast for the CrockPot from Elegantly, Gluten-Free
- Veggie Quinoa from My Sweet and Savory
- Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Mexican Pizza from Cook IT Allergy Free
- Two-Onion Tuna Salad from Alisa Cooks
Pasty Arts School
Thank you for all your wishes last week! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world having so much support from all of you.
School has been hectic but worth every second of it. I’m learning things that would take me months to figure out on my own…and most of what I’m learning I’d never know to figure out in the first place. When I’m able to translate some of the recipes into gluten-free, sugar-free successfully you’ll be the first to know.
NEW Linking Up Guidelines: PLEASE Read!
- Please link back to this post so that your readers can find the recipes here.
- Link to your individual post, NOT your home page.
- Recipes DO NOT have to be sugar-free or gluten-free – just healthier in some way. The idea is to share our ideas and inspire each other in the kitchen.
- Please don’t link give-aways and book reviews without recipes or contests – the intent of this event is to compile recipes that give people options.
- ONLY ONE post per blog, please!
- (Optional) When you link, please tell us who you are and what you’re cooking. For example, I might enter:
Icebox Cake (Amy @ Simply Sugar & Gluten Free))
This linky list is now closed.

My sister cooked up some awesome vegetarian chili. She originally shared the recipe with us a couple years and we’ve both been enjoying it ever since.

Hi Amy- Happy Tuesday! This week I am sharing my recipe for Apple Oatmeal Muffins. The recipe is gluten free, but it can be made with “regular” flour and oats if you don’t have an issue with gluten.
Thanks for hosting!

I linked up a wonderful new pumpkin pie recipe, Amy. It’s healthier, but totally amazing. One of my readers adapted my pumpkin pie recipe to make it.
Thanks for hosting, especially with all that’s going on!

Hi Amy! I’m linking up butterscotch pudding this week.
It was supposed to be pie, but…well, you can read about that in my post. The recipe is from Melanie of The Grecian Garden (http://thegreciangarden.com)

Amy,
Kind of off topic, but I’ve just heard about Lakanto, a sugar substitute, and was wondering if you have any experience or thoughts about it.
Thanks, I love your blog!

Amy, thank you for featuring my Turkey Breast for the Crockpot recipe! I’m so glad you liked it, and I’m honored to be in such excellent company. Those are some wonderful-looking recipes you have listed there!
This week has disappeared before I even got started with it, I hate to admit. The cough I thought would go away quickly turned out to be the flu, so I had little opportunity to avoid that interruption. Looks like it’ll be some worthwhile reading to catch up on this week’s entries — especially your ice box cake!
Hugs,
Pat

How the links to other blog posts disappear now? I don’t remember that happening a few months ago…
I liked being able to go back and look at them.

@Erika, Thanks for letting me know, Erika. There’s a problem with the linky account. I put in a service request and they should be back soon.
Hugs,
Amy
