Linking Up Guidelines!
- Recipes DO NOT have to be sugar-free or gluten-free – just healthier in some way. The idea is to share our ideas and inspire each other in the kitchen.
- Please don’t link give-aways or book reviews without recipes – the intent of this event is to compile recipes that give people options.
- When you link, please tell us who you are and what you’re cooking. For example, I might enter:
Amy @ Simply Sugar & Gluten Free (Oven Roasted Beets) - Please link to your individual post, not your homepage and link back to this post so that your readers can find the recipes here.

Hey Ames! How you been baby? For some reason i feel like its been a while since I heard from you, but that might only be because I love to talk to you! I have a story to tell you though! The other day, I was a trader joes and some poor lady was asking the staff if they had any good gluten free baking items for thanksgiving, and they said no. She was walking away and I told her, you have to visit simply sugar and gluten free on the web for GREAT recipes! So, I was chatting you up girl! Hope she shows up here. My recipe for the week is gluten free! LOL it is turnips in a creamy mustard sauce by mark bittman, and it was delicious! I am weird. I love turnips! All the best and big hugs too! alex

Good morning, Amy! It’s busy here already … love that!
Woohoo on being included in that recipe roundup!
Must check it out in a sec. Some great mentions from last week, too. Thanks for including my Thanksgiving portion of our Gluten-Free Holiday event. I hope more folks will head over and enter the giveaway for Kelly’s and Steph’s books–they are fantastic resources (as all our giveaway cookbooks are)!
I linked up Candy Carrot Coins–a simple, but terrific dish (and healthy despite the name) that’s wonderful for the holiday table or any time really. One reader said they’ve always called them “happy carrots” in her family.
It’s also part of the Thanksgiving event that Shauna and Danny hosted. There’s so much gluten-free goodness right now on the web; it warms my heart!
xo,
Shirley

Thanks for mentioning my biscuits from last week! (Good reminder for me to make them again…) This week I’m linking up to an easy weeknight meal: Chicken Strips with Maple-Mustard Dipper. That dipping sauce is addictive!
Congrats on being featured on Better Recipes! How great that they included a GF option.

Sorry, I forgot to put my name in the link. I submitted the gluten and dairy free pumpkin pie. Converting it to dairy free was easier than I thought.
Your butternut tart looks delicious. Congrats on being included in that list.

I hope your book is going well! I can’t wait to see it
This week I made a butternut squash pizza. It turned out great! I used goat cheese and ricotta as the cheese, but mozzarella would be nice too. It is a different way to use butternut squash, and a perfect appetizer for the holidays.
