I’m so excited to share my newest sponsor with you, Nature’s Flavours! They make an incredible line of products, including natural food coloring and gluten-free baking mixes.
Since Easter is right around the corner, I wanted to share with their Rainbow Pack with you. Being a baker at heart, I am always on the lookout for ways to make beautiful color without using artificial food dye.
I find color to be one of the hardest part of decorating. Especially when using natural food dye. My experience has been it’s not as concentrated and it doesn’t come in as many shades. So, you have to use a lot more to get the color you want and sometimes you have to use so much that your frosting just won’t hold it’s shape.
One of the things I love about Nature’s Flavours’ Rainbow Pack is that it comes in five (yes, five!) colors:
- Red
- Blue
- Green
- Yellow
- Orange
And, it’s much more concentrated than the other brands I’ve tried. The green in the frosting for these cookies just took 10 drops.
And, gosh, the brilliant color on these Easter eggs! You’ll notice that the red turned out to be more of a muted purple. I suspect if I would have used more dye I could have gotten a stronger color. But, I wasn’t surprised. Even with artificial food coloring, red is one of the toughest colors to work with.
You might have noticed Nature’s Flavor’s ad in the right hand side-bar, offering free shipping to all new customers. Just use the coupon code: firsttimer during checkout.
I’ve got a Rainbow Pack to give to one of my readers – 5 (2-ounce) bottles of food coloring. You’ll love this stuff!
I’ll share how I colored the eggs tomorrow.
