With Mother’s Day just two days away I thought I’d share some desserts that will definitely be appreciated by all the guests at your celebration, including the moms!
It’s going to be my first Mother’s Day as an mom and honestly I’m looking forward to a laid back day with my two favorite guys. I would be lying if I said that I’m going to cook up something spectacular. I’m not. It’ll just be the three of us and Joe will agree that we would both rather get some rest.
Regardless of how you choose to celebrate this Mother’s Day, I’m sending special wishes to all moms for their constant love, care-taking, and selfless giving. And, for all of my mommy friends (you know who you are!) who have nurtured me through the transition to new Mommyhood, I send you very special love. Thank you for helping me to be the best mom I can be for Nate.

@Alta, I love making dessert. I am starting to get my baker’s brain back…it disappeared for a while when I was pregnant.

@Miachel Pruett, Yes, don’t grill the cantaloupe. It was so very gross.

@Amber, Thanks, Amber!! Both desserts are so good. It just depends if you want light on the hips or really indulgent.

@Cara, They did!! I am so very blessed to have them in my life. Joe spoiled the heck out of me (more Le Creuset and other baking gear…) but the sweetest things were the card he gave me. And, he got me a Mom & newborn Willow Tree figurine – he always buys me one to mark special occasions in our life.

Hi Amy,
I just wanted to take the time to share with you that I am so in love with your website that I took the time to recommend you to readers on http://summertomato.com. As the recent topic came up about desserts. I have bought your book and have been trying to incorporate a lot of your foods into our home so that we focus on getting healthy and staying a way from refined sugar and processed foods. Thank you for providing healthy alternatives. My goal is that this becomes a natural part ofour everyday life! Again, thank you thank you!!

These desserts look wonderful. Are the recipes in the cookbook by the same name that I found on amazon.com? If yes, then I will purchase it. TIA for the info.
