If you’ve been wondering what I’ve been doing for the last eight weeks, the answer is so simple…loving this little angel!
Nathaniel Joseph Green was born on Thursday, February 23rd at 7:36 pm. He was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.
Once we figured out that Nate likes the water about 100 degrees instead of 90, he absolutely started loving his baths. This was his first bath at home. He was so very tiny.
We take pics of Nate every day…ok more than one a day. It’s amazing how much he changes and how quickly it happens. Here he just started to fit into his newborn clothes. He hasn’t quite outgrown them yet but he’s so close. I’m not ready for that.

I think our little guy is an old soul. He’s got the most thoughtful expressions. He’s at the age where he’s started the social smiles which is a lot of fun. And, he’s making all those really cute baby noises too. I could just sit and stare at him all day long!
Nate is a happy baby. He only fusses when he’s hungry or tired. He loves, loves, loves to be with Mommy and Daddy. We don’t mind at all.
Life is different in a very good way. Joe and I are so very blessed. I got a card from Maggie that sums this all up perfectly. It says:
“Just when you think you know love, something little comes along to remind you just how big it really is.”
And it is bigger than I could have ever imagined.

Love love love these pictures! He is absolutely adorable. And I totally agree that he looks like an “old soul”. His expressions are so cute! That, “I am very concerned” one is priceless. LOL
That is how my oldest always was and still is. Those old-soul expressions will eventually turn into crazy old-soul deep thoughts that he will have that will stump you and leave you scratching your head at how your son can have a profound thought/question. At least that is what happened with Conner.
I am so so happy for you and Joe!!

Congratulations!!! What an adorable baby
. Glad to hear he’s making parenthood easy so far. ENJOY every minute… when my kids were little someone told me that toddlers make you realize how EASY babies are. Well, mine are much older now and life is MUCH more complex (but the “highs” are bigger too, so not complaining
.) But enjoy the “simpleness” of life at this stage.
Wishing you only joy and happiness from here on!

How sweet!! Congrats. You are going to love being a parent, however, sleep will never be the same again. Thank you for sharing his adorable pics. It’s funny how babies really are individuals from day one, sometimes it’s almost like they are grown ups in wee bodies. (FYI: He and I have the same birthday. I have a birthday book that talks about traits of folks born on different days. I had to laugh on feb 23 when it said “expects a fair hearing”, if most of us feb 23s are like that you best just get used to it. I wonder how soon that will start).

Enjoy your precious little bundle while he’s there. Before long, he may be turning over, then crawling, and eventually walking and you have to watch every second. Each stage is God’s wonderful gift to us. Our daughter, now 14, at the age of 2 months, figured out how to roll over several times to chase our now 17 year old son around the room. He, then almost 3, tried to run away. It was fun to watch.
