Amy,

Recipe is looking great except that Agave is a big no-no in the holisic world these days (see www.realfoodrenegade.com for what she says about). I can't stand the after-taste of Stevia. Do you think Xylitol could work? Not sure how it does in frozen foods...

Hi Angie,<br />I'm grateful that you stopped by. I did see that you're dairy-free. I have made some very flavorful dairy free ice cream with almond milk but I haven't been able to get it to freeze so that I can scoop it. Arrowroot really helps decrease the icyness but it's still as hard as a rock. Also, I don't know what you use for a sweetner but agave has done wonders for helping my ice cream freeze smoother. I'd love to hear what you come up with...I am on a mission with this one and will eventually find a dairy-free ice cream that's good enough to publish.

I have been to Lancaster and Athens so many times I can't count them. My grandpa built a cabin in the hills of Lancaster and we spent many weekends there and also traveled frequently to Old Man's Cave. :) Also, I visited OU many times while going to OSU. I didn't know about Diane's Foodie Fix - thanks for sharing that with me. And, of course, THANK YOU for stopping by my blog. (Love yours, by the way!)
