Food gifts are so very special to give and receive. They’re gifts that comes directly from the heart. If you have a few people left on your list that you’re not sure what to give – or just can’t stand to set foot in the store one more time, try one of these.
They also make fabulous hostess gifts, which I make a habit of giving. It’s a simple gesture that shows appreciation for all of the hard work and effort she put into creating a special gathering.
These four food gifts are simple enough to make but are full of class and style.
Give a jar of fruit butter.
These recipes are so very easy. The slow cooker does the work for you. When your butter is done, jar it up for gift giving. I use a water bath canner and half-pint or quarter-pint jars. Just fill up the jars with your butter and process the jars for 10 minutes.
Give a loaf of homebaked bread.
Homebaked bread always makes a delicious gift. Better yet, it usually can be wrapped tightly and frozen for later use in case the gift recipient has too many goodies to eat quickly.
